How to plan Hawaii travel with Chase points
Compare eligible transfer options, island airports and the full family trip before moving Chase points.

Choose your island first
Honolulu, Maui, Kauai and Hawaii Island are different destinations. Start with where you want to stay, then choose the arrival airport. A cheaper flight to the wrong island may add another ticket, extra baggage charges and time in transit.
Check your eligible Chase account
Chase lists United MileagePlus and Southwest Rapid Rewards among its transfer partners. Check the transfer options in your own eligible account before planning around either one. Compare their actual search results for your airport, dates and passenger count; a listed partnership is not a promise of award seats.
Compare the complete price
Put each option on the same basis: one way or round trip, all travelers, the same cabin, and required cash charges. Compare against a cash ticket with similar baggage and cancellation terms. A lower points price alone does not establish better value.
Move points at the end
Chase says transfers are final and normally use 1,000-point increments. Confirm the transfer ratio and final award first. If a fictional quote needs 23,500 miles and your verified transfer is 1:1 in 1,000-point increments, the transfer would be 24,000 points, leaving 500 miles in the airline account.
